GREAT
AMERICAN TAXI BENEFIT:
Held November
23rd at the Stage Stop Inn in Rollinsville. CO. The members of the Taxi
performed for free, along with special guests Jeff Austin (Yonder Mountain
String Band) Silas Herman and the Earth Grazers, providing a great evening
of entertainment to the many hardy souls who braved sub-zero temperatures to
support the Nederland skatepark project. Our thanks to all the band members
and to the Stage Stop Inn for a successful fundraiser.
7th Annual
(2005) BinxFest Music Festival and Benefit:
Special thanks and recognition is due to the many individuals, organizations and bands who combined to make the 7th annual BinxFest Music Festival and Benefit in Eldora an unprecedented success, raising over $2,800 for the skatepark.
First and foremost, Vince and Kimba Herman and Cindy McCollum, for staging this well-organized event for the good of the community. Also, in no particular order, individuals: Kent Bartlo, Mike Cutler, Mark Fischer, Pete Fiory, Wes Rocket, Harvey McCollum and Zane, organizations: Shaped Music, Twisted Pine Brewery, Pink Flamingo, TEENS, Inc., Guru Sports and the Eldora Civic Association, musicians: the Eldorans, Latter Day Heathens, Grateful Daddies, Good Time Charlie, Ryan Spearman, Dave Johnson, John Stubbs, Peak Crickers, Boogaloo Communicators and Blisk. Last, but far from least, thanks to the good residents of Eldora, the many generous and patient attendees, and our own tireless NEDSK8 volunteers, including Mayor Perret, who stepped in and gave us several hours of help in the concessions tent when we were short-handed.
