10 Reasons to buy a NEDSK8 Brick:

  1. It's more environmentally friendly than carving your initials on a tree
  2. A brick makes a perfect gift for all occasions: a new baby, birthday, graduation, anniversary, Hanukkah, Christmas …
  3. Show your love for your sweetheart with an engraved inscription on a skatepark brick (a brick may not smell as nice as a dozen roses, but it lasts a heck of a lot longer)
  4. Honor the departed with an "In Memory Of" brick
  5. Advertise your company with an 8" x 8" brick with logo
  6. Proclaim your organization’s mission or vision
  7. Support Nederland-area youth in their guest for a local skatepark
  8. Boost the area economy by helping to fund a world-class skateboarding facility
  9. Your friends and neighbors have already bought one
  10. It’s FUN!

Brick Campaign Questions & Answers:

Q:     Total cost of Phase I of this skatepark is approximately $490,000. Do you really think you can raise that amount of money selling bricks?

A:      The majority of the funds required to build Nederland’s skatepark will come from grants, but grants require matching funds. NEDSK8 hopes to raise $35,000 or more from the brick campaign (e.g., 250 individual pavers, 25 business), Additional funds will come from special events and general donations. The more bricks we sell, the less we will need to rely on other funding sources.

Q:     Does my brick purchase qualify as a tax-deductible donation?

A:      Yes! NEDSK8, Inc. is recognized as an exempt organization by the IRS under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Since your brick becomes part of the skatepark facility, your brick purchase is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the IRS.

Q:     I’ve already made a donation for the skatepark; do I get a brick?

A:      The brick campaign is separate from our other fund-raising endeavors. Your earlier donation has already been spent on the design of the park, so, if you would like a brick, we must ask you to purchase one separately.

Q:     Do you accept credit cards?

A:      Not at this time. NEDSK8 is striving to keep expenses to a bare minimum, so that every dollar possible goes towards construction of the skatepark. Merchant accounts cost money. You can use your credit card to make a PayPal® donation here on our website, and eventually you may be able to place a brick order here.
